Achievements & Goals

Redirecting Funds from Settlements to Support Kibbutzim

Redirected funding to northern and southern Kibbutzim rehabilitation while reducing transfers to the settlements. We have invested, and will continue to invest, over one billion shekels in rebuilding the Negev and Galilee. While these funds are directed toward the reconstruction of kibbutzim, moshavim, and towns that were damaged - we secured a special budget for Kibbutz Nir Oz, intended to supplement government funding for its reconstruction.Created Derech Ravid Project. Strengthened informal education in the Gaza Envelope Kibbutzim. Phase 2 focuses on building new local Kibbutz communities and attracting families dedicated to kibbutz values

Zionism & Democracy
We implemented educational programs in high schools for use in Israel and the diaspora focusing on values from Israel’s Declaration of Independence, which was developed in response to the judicial reforms and dedicated to the legacy of Prime Minister Itzhak Rabin and his belief in democracy, peace and security.
We have hosted conferences emphasizing democracy’s central role in the Zionist vision, supporting democratic values in Zionism’s future.

Advancing Religious Pluralism
Creation of the new Cultural Humanistic Judaism unit to support communities all around the world.

Influencing WZO Policies

Championed resolutions on democracy, judicial independence, LGBTQ+ rights, and Israel-Diaspora relations. As a result of our share of delegates at the World Zionist Congress, our representatives have served as executive chairs of WZO departments and allocated funding to a variety of programs aligned with the values expressed in the Hatikvah Australia platform.

Women’s Representation

We have secured 40% female representation within leadership and decision-making roles.

Leading the Fight Against Antisemitism

We actively push for increased involvement and financial support of the WZO in the global fight against Antisemitism.

Keren Kayemet LeIsrael (KKL-JNF) Oversight

Securing Israel’s place as a global leader in innovation, sustainability, and technological advancement. We are dedicated to ensuring that KKL–JNF remains a driving force in environmental restoration, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture and addressing regional threats to the climate and water resources.

Youth Movements and Leadership Programs
Implemented a yearly program where over 100 Ethiopian-Israeli teens develop Zionist pride, leadership skills, and familiarity with the story of Beta Israel. These future leaders are trained to inspire and represent their community.

As committed members of the Australian Jewish community, we are dedicated to ensuring that funding continues to support projects and programs that enrich and safeguard our collective future.

At the heart of our vision is a strong belief in the power of Jewish education and the vital role of Zionist youth movements. We are committed to securing robust support for educational initiatives and ensuring that Shlichim (Israeli emissaries) in Australia are adequately resourced to inspire, connect, and lead.

Social Justice
Established advanced social justice centers in cities across Israel, including mixed cities, periphery, and the Gaza Envelope. They promote civic engagement and collaborative leadership.

Hatikvah stands with those demanding the protection of the human rights of all those who reside within the State of Israel, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation. We will continue to fight for gender and LGBQTIA+ rights and representation.

LGBTQ+ Advocacy
Supported pride events worldwide, championed the World LGBTQ+ Jewish Congress, and launched an "LGBTQ+ Aliyah" platform.

Nitzan Fund for Gender Equality
Established the Nitzan Fund, a philanthropic fund advancing gender equality initiatives in Israel - department funds infrastructure operations. We raised ₪1 million so far.

Climate Action
Securing JNF budget prioritisation for the Negev, Galilee, and environmental issues. A progressive majority enabled us to promote a clear set of priorities in the JNF budgets. Over the past two years, a significant portion of the JNF budget has been invested in the restoration of the Negev and Galilee, and in environmental and climate issues.
Our progressive block holds the Chair of the Environment and Climate Committee. We anticipate approving an unprecedented budget of 150 million shekels to be invested in critical areas such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and more.
